I have always found Podiatric Surgery to be a particularly rewarding career, offering the opportunity to reverse deformity and relieve the pain of so many patients. However, surgery is in many cases, not required to successfully manage many problems. During my 25 years of clinical practice I have been fortunate to work alongside a wide range of professionals from many health care disciplines who have always been willing to share their knowledge with me. What each of these disciplines has taught me is that a blending of understanding and treatment techniques is vital to improving patient outcomes. My research has helped me to redefine how and when we should employ different treatment options to best effect.
